Our seating systems protect soldiers from the blast effects caused by land mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). ArmorWorks seats are battle tested and installed in more than 10,000 operational vehicles worldwide. ArmorWorks engineers work closely with vehicle OEMs to develop seating solutions that are completely integrated into vehicle designs.

Advanced Modular Blast Seating Systems

ArmorWorks’ Advanced Modular Blast Seats provide superior protection and durability, while offering flexibility to configure the seat based on comfort and/or mission profile. These seats leverage a common core seat pan, back rest, and our proven attenuating blast protection system to reduce cost and logistical burden across multiple vehicle platforms.

Troop Seats

ArmorWorks’ combat-proven fixed back and folding back troop seats have been fielded with multiple MRAP and IFV type vehicles. All seats attenuate energy with a deformable link similar to a crumple zone in a vehicle, but mounted within the seat. The seats are adaptable for many uses and configurations with interchangeable mounting and optional features such as:

Standing platform
Spring fold-up pan
Height adjustment
Floor, wall, forward mount
T-bar, Ubar, cable footrest
Hydration pack cutout cushions
Headrest with and without bolsters
Armrest, RWS, floor, wall and forward mounts

Bench Seats

Bench seats function as one unit but offer blast protection independently to protect the individual occupant. These seats have been fielded on the Bradley IFV. Options include:

Footrest
Fold-up pan
1-, 2-, 3- and 4-seat configurations
Seat back folds over for stowage access

Driver Seats

ArmorWorks offers a range of driver seats and options to fit a range of needs and vehicles, including:

Seat back full recline
Adjustable headrest cushion
Hydration pack cutout cushions
Manual fore/aft through six inches
Manual height adjust with gas spring assist
Roof, b-pillar, floor, side and rear mount
Non-skid standing platform under removable seat pan cushion

Turret Seats

A range of seats designed for working in tight areas of a weapon station or gun turret, including:
